About the Director: London-born Bert Shapiro has been making documentary videos for more than a decade. After a career in book publishing he began filmmaking. His focus is to explore the talents of people whose skills might vanish in the 21st century. Usually unnoticed by the popular culture, these ‘ordinary people’ express extraordinary passions and with delightful good humor. The films reveal the faces and hands of these hidden communities.
