Every morning 12 year old Ram Kumar prepares for the day ahead. He is not going to school, he is going to work breaking up heavy stones on a new road development in western Nepal. Ram Kumar and his family left their village during the People's War, he lost his father, his home and his education and now he works to support his family. Set in the beautiful but harsh mountains of Nepal, a moving insight into the life of one of Nepal's 200,000 displaced families.

About the Directors:

Tassia Kobylinska is a documentary filmmaker based in London with a special interest in Nepal. She is also a passionate community and participatory video practitioner. This us her second collaboration with Lucia De Vries.

Lucia de Vries is a journalist and campaigner who has lived in Nepal since 1992.
