Our Third Thursday film screenings continue to bring high quality independent films to Bethlehem's South Side.  Location:  Victory Firehouse - 205 Webster Street.

2010 Festival Open for Entries

Early entry deadline: Dec. 1, 2009.
Regular entry deadline: Feb.1, 2010.
Genre focus: Horror
Cultural focus: Films of or about the Far East including China, Japan and Korea.

Sky People, a film by Workshop Instructor/Filmmaker, Shanti Thakur won Best Experimental Film at LA-based film festival.

"I have never, ever had such a fulfilling experience with an audience. And I think this is why SouthSide is such a great venue... their audience is HUNGRY for this kind of film. As IFHY played down, I was astonished at how engaged the audience was -- this compared to the screening recently in LA where the reception was good, but not overwhelmingly so."

SouthSide Film Institute (SSFI)

Our mission is to be the coordinators and facilitators in this community effort of creating a centralized informational and networking HUB for filmmakers in the Lehigh Valley and the surrounding areas.
Building the Film Office and the Institute will take time to ensure quality and efficiency. This is a volunteer effort, so all assistance is welcome!
